This distinctive chess set was used in Argentina Chess Olympiad. The Argentina Olympic set was very popular in the 1980’s because of its unique collar rings and extraordinary knights. The original Chess Sets which was used in the Argentina Chess Olympiad are very rare and selling at thousands of dollars a set but that is not what every chess collector can spend on a hobby. The old collector’s club Staunton series chess pieces have been specifically designed for the chess collectors. The King proudly stands at 4.4 inches and its base is robust 1.9 inches. This is a classic design featuring the magnificently robust and remarkable knight. There are 6 cuts in the turrets of the rook. The carving and the design of the knight are quite spectacular, look closely at the eyes, nostrils, teeth and, craftsmanship around the mane.
