The  marvelous Painted Indian-American Luxury series chess set is made up of Painted boxwood. The King proudly stands at 4.4 inches and its base is robust 1.8 inches. This is a classic design featuring the magnificent and unique knight. Superb size proportioning from king to the pawn exhibits true intricate craftsmanship in all the pieces. The dark chess pieces are made of Red Painted Boxwood. It would be difficult to find a more sumptuous wood than Red Painted Boxwood for the dark side chess pieces. The texture of the Red Painted Boxwood is fine and a true pleasure to hold. The deep luster and total blackness of the Red Painted Boxwood are exceptional.

Weight: 9600 grams (338.63 oz). Please note that the weight in the set is added manually so the final weight of the set can vary by plus or minus (±) 10%.

The opposing pieces are made of Painted Boxwood which is traditionally used for white side. It is one of the fairly easy woods to work with and shows off aesthetic detail. The set comes with free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and triple weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board. Chess pieces have unique collar rings and thick green felts, which precisely envelops the base of each chessmen for smooth movement on the chess board. The knights are well-crafted and represent the highest grade of knight carving skills that our Indian artisans have to offer.

Craftsmanship: The carving of the knight is quite spectacular, look closely at the details around the mane and nostrils. The design of the other pieces is also highly commended to allow the set to truly stand out.
