The Contemporary Staunton Series Pieces & Board in Bud Rose & Boxwood - 3.4" King

This contemporary chess set features chessmen that are crafted with a combination of bud rosewood and boxwood. Dark side chess pieces are made of bud rosewood and the opposing pieces are made of boxwood which is mostly used for white side. The king proudly stands at 3.4 inches and its base is a robust 1.5 inches. The set comes with free extra queens for easy pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very satisfying thud on the chess board. Each of chess piece has faux leather base pad on its base for smooth movement on the chess board. The knights are superlative and show the astounding skills of our best knight artisans. This beautiful Board is made of Bud Rose Wood on darker side and Box Wood on the lighter side. The size of the board is 18" x 18" (45.7 cm x 45.7 cm) with square size of 1-3/4" x 1-3/4" (45 mm x 45 mm). The board is 22 mm thick.
