What happens when any chess item is backordered?
Backordered items are the items which are in the last leg of production. When you backorder an item you are sure that you will get the item once the limited stock is available.
What is the benefit of placing an order for the backordered items?
Once you backorder an item you can be sure that you will get the item as soon as it is back in stock. Our items are handmade so only a limited quantity is produced in every lot and the item is sold on a first come first serve basis. On fast moving items, there is a good chance that the items get sold out pretty soon after listing. When you backorder, you don’t have to worry that someone else will buy your favorite item before you.
Can I still place an order if a product is on backorder?
Yes, you can place the order for a backordered item so that you are sure to get the item when the new lot arrives.
How long does a backorder typically take to fulfill?
Backorder items generally arrived within 6-8 weeks. You can contact us sales@chessbazaar.com so as to confirm the exact date of arrival of any particular item.
How can I follow up on backorder items?
Our sales staff will be happy to assist you on the arrival date of your ordered items.
Popular items may sell out quickly and temporarily be on backorder. This means that the items are currently out of stock but that there are shipments on their way to re-stock our warehouses. Ordering an item that is currently on backorder is a worry-free way to ensure that you will be first in line for the new inventory and that the item which you ordered will be sent out to you as soon as we receive it!
