This stellar Staunton pattern set is crafted from bud rosewood and boxwood. The King stands at 4.5 inches with a 1.9-inch base. Dark pieces in rare bud rosewood make it a top choice for chess enthusiasts.

Weight: 2000 grams approx. (70.54 oz). Please note that the weight in the set is added manually so the final weight of the set can vary by plus or minus (±) 10%.

The opposing pieces are crafted from boxwood, the traditional choice for the white side. This wood is easy to work with and highlights fine details. The set includes free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. Each piece is expertly carved, well-weighted for a satisfying hand-feel, and lands with a firm thud on the board. Featuring unique collar rings, intricate hand-carved details, and thick green felt for smooth movement, these pieces ensure premium playability. Uniformity of pieces: The shapes of turned pieces are guided by metal profiles and so all turned pieces are identical, especially the pawns. You can expect some variation where hand carving or cutting comes i.e. knights. 

Before dispatch, we apply a special polish that enhances reflection and makes smudge removal easy. These chess pieces have an elegant visual appeal, perfect for display on a cocktail table and practical play. The set features red and off-white pieces, complementing any red or black chessboard.
