This marvelous Indian-American Wellington Luxury series chess set is made up of genuine ebony wood and boxwood. The King proudly stands at 4.4 inches with a robust base of 1.9 inches.

This is a classic design featuring the magnificent and unique knight. Superb size proportioning from king to the pawn exhibits true intricate craftsmanship in all the pieces.

The dark chess pieces are made of Painted Wood. It would be difficult to find a more sumptuous wood than Painted Wood for the dark side chess pieces. The texture of the ebony Wood is fine and a true pleasure to hold. The deep luster and total blackness of the genuine Ebony Wood are exceptional.

Weight: 2350 grams (82.89 oz). Please note that the weight in the set is added manually so the final weight of the set can vary by plus or minus (±) 10%.

The opposing pieces are made of boxwood, which is traditionally used for the white side. It is one of the fairly easy woods to work with and shows off aesthetic detail.

All chess pieces are expertly carved and triple weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board.

Chess pieces have unique collar rings and thick green felts, which precisely envelop the base of each chessmen for smooth movement on the chess board.

The knights are well-crafted and represent the highest grade of knight carving skills that our Indian artisans have to offer.

Uniformity of pieces: The shapes of turned pieces are guided by metal profiles, ensuring all turned pieces are identical, especially the pawns. Expect slight variation in hand-carved pieces like knights.
