This peerless 2016 Bridle series chess set is made up of ebony wood and boxwood. The King proudly stands at 4.2 inches and its base is robust 1.9 inches. This is a classic design featuring the magnificent and strong bridle knight. Superb size proportioning from king to the pawn exhibits true intricate craftsmanship in all the pieces. The dark chess pieces are made of ebony wood. It would be difficult to find a more sumptuous wood than ebony wood for the dark side chess pieces. The texture of the ebony wood is fine and a true pleasure to hold. The deep luster and total blackness of the ebony wood are exceptional.

The opposing pieces are made of boxwood which is traditionally used for white side. It is one of the fairly easy woods to work with and shows off aesthetic detail. The set comes with free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and triple weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board. Chess pieces have unique collar rings and thick green felts, which precisely envelops the base of each chess men for smooth movement on the chess board. The knights are well-crafted and represent the highest grade of knight carving skills that our Indian artisans have to offer.

Weight : 2300 grams (81.13 oz). Please note that the weight in the set is added manually so the final weight of the set can vary by plus or minus (±) 10%.

Craftsmanship: The carving of the knight is quite spectacular, look closely at the details around the mane and nostrils. The design of the other pieces is also highly commended to allow the set to truly stand out.
